Happy Fiesta to all Simaranhons and visitors!

This year's celebration of the town fiesta in honor of our venerable patron saint, St. Joseph the Worker, slated in the last week of April and culminating in May 1st, will also welcome a new priest to the Corcuera parish.

Fr. Leo Moaje will be officially installed in a concelebrated mass in the St. Joseph church on May 1, 2009. He will replace Fr. Virgil Fabriquel who is re-assigned since March 23, 2009 to the parish of St. Jude in Baranggay Alegria. Fr. Virgil will also be officially installed in May 1st. The Most Reverend Corazon Tala-oc, Bishop of the Diocese of Romblon, will officiate the installation ceremony.

Fr. Virgil Fabriquel has served his flock in Corcuera's St. Joseph parish very well and has been the primary advocate of St. Joseph church's recent renovation as well as providing guidance and livelihood support to many poor residents. The St. Jude parish can expect the same energy from this hard-working priest.
