FEBRUARY 2 is SIMARA’s SEED

By virtue of Proclamation No. 1 s. 2010, February 2 is Secondary Education Eventful Day (SEED) for Simara and Simaranhons.    This historical signing of the proclamation was done by Honorable Mayor Eddie Fondevilla Mazo right in his office during the Golden Founding Anniversary of Corcuera Academy now Corcuera National High School (CORNAHIS), Tuesday February 2, 2010. 

Prior to the signing of the proclamation was the holding of a special flag-raising ceremony in the school campus.  The ceremony was made unusual because of the historical ‘SEED’ formation of students and CORNAHIS teaching staff headed by Principal Melchor ‘Ontoy’ Famorcan.  English and Music Teacher Mrs. Mary Jane Fallaria and Supreme Student President Terence Fabicon led the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and recitation of both Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas and the school’s Vision and Mission, respectively.

3^rd Annual Rice Gift  

The solicitation campaign for the 2009 rice ‘Christmas’ gift for Simara yielded One thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1,250.00) from the following participants in the East Coast, USA; this effort was passionately spearheaded by the East Coast coordinator Billy Falceso Fajiculay of Spring Valley, New York.
